respectful maternity care.

About me

I’ve been a midwife since 2008 and I know first-hand what it’s like when maternity care doesn’t quite fit what you need.

Over the years I’ve seen NHS maternity services become increasingly stretched, leaving many women feeling rushed, unheard, or unsure about their options.

I work as an independent midwife providing antenatal and postnatal top-up support. My role is to help you understand your choices, feel more confident navigating the system, and make decisions that genuinely feel right for you.

Some women come to me because they simply want more personalised care and time to talk things through. Others come because they feel pressured by policies that don’t sit comfortably with them.

I’m particularly passionate about supporting women who want clear, evidence-based discussions about their options — including those considering paths outside standard clinical guidelines.

This isn’t about rebellion or ignoring safety. It’s about understanding the evidence, recognising warning signs, and making informed decisions that work for you and your baby.

If you’re looking for an experienced professional in your corner who will listen, explain things clearly, and support you without judgement, you’re in the right place.
